The Digital Innovation Centre Rostock (DIZ) is the central point of contact for startups, aspiring founders, universities, research institutions, and partners from the innovation ecosystem in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. We accompany founding projects from the first idea to implementation, connect relevant actors, and create structures in which innovation can thrive.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a Startup Consultant (m/f/d).
Your Tasks:
Support, advice, and targeted further development of technology-based founding projects from universities and research institutions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Consultation for aspiring founders regarding market opportunities, customer needs, and business models, as well as support in developing business plans
Assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of founding projects
Support in building and developing interdisciplinary founding teams
Assistance in identifying suitable funding paths, especially in applying for public grants for spin-offs
Conceptualization and execution of regular training, workshop, and coaching measures for founding teams
Conducting technology scouting to identify new technologies and innovations with spin-off potential
Maintenance, expansion, and strategic further development of the network with aspiring founders, public and private investors, as well as other actors in the founder ecosystem in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Your Profile:
Completed university studies in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration
Ideally, initial experience in the founding, startup, or business development sector
Strong entrepreneurial thinking and action
Solid business knowledge
Very good analytical skills and a structured approach
Independent working style, high self-motivation, as well as flexibility and organizational strength
Very good communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written, as well as pronounced ability to work in teams
Ideally, experience in project management and the ability to build trustful and productive working relationships
Enthusiasm for innovative environments, entrepreneurial spirit, and joy in technical issues
Solid computer skills as well as openness and joy in dealing with digital tools and social media
Good knowledge of the English language
